Freight Transport to Romania and from Romania
Freight Transport Ukraine ⇄ Romania
We run freight transport to Romania and cargo delivery from Romania to Ukraine. This is the only direction on our European list with a shared land border — the cargo goes directly, without transiting third countries.
We deliver to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași, Constanța and other cities. A direct route simplifies planning: fewer border crossings mean fewer points where a trip can stall. This is part of our international logistics.

What We Carry on the Romanian Route
We handle cargo both ways — from Ukraine to Romania and back:
- Automotive components and spare parts
- Furniture, timber and wood products
- Textiles, clothing, footwear
- Food and agricultural products
- Equipment, metal and construction materials
Ukraine — Romania Route: A Direct Border
Ukraine and Romania border each other directly, so the trip needs no transit through third countries. We pick the crossing by loading region: Porubne — Siret in the Bukovyna direction, Diakove in Zakarpattia, and the Orlivka — Isaccea ferry in the south. Indicative transit time is 2–4 days.
- Delivery to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași, Constanța
- Crossings: Porubne — Siret, Diakove, Orlivka — Isaccea ferry
- Groupage and part loads: pay only for your volume
- Return loads Romania → Ukraine so the truck does not run empty

Cost of Transport to Romania
Indicative tariffs for international routes, including Ukraine — Romania:
| Vehicle | Volume | Price per 1 km |
|---|---|---|
| Tilt truck up to 22 t (13.6 m) | up to 92 m³ | from €1/km |
| Truck up to 10 t (up to 8.5 m) | up to 50 m³ | on request |
| Groupage (part load) | from 1 pallet | on request |
The short leg and absence of transit usually make the Romanian direction cheaper than long European routes. The exact price is calculated per route; detailed tariffs are on our pricing policy page. Warehouse storage can be added when needed.
Documents and Customs
Romania is an EU member, so customs clearance takes place at the shared border. We issue the CMR waybill and, if needed, the T1 transit declaration and the EUR.1 certificate for preferential origin. You provide the invoice and packing list.
Hort Trans runs Ukraine — Romania trips with its own fleet, from light vans to 92 m³ tilt trucks. Send your route for a quote.
